Web Intern
We are looking for someone to help us manage and build our ever-growing website one to two days a week for the next three months (and perhaps longer). If you consider yourself to be an intelligent optimist and love the Web, we want to hear from you!
The Web Intern will assist the Community Editor and Community Manager, offering day-to-day content management and meeting project-based needs as they arise. The Web Intern will have the opportunity to contribute creatively to a constantly evolving website while improving his or her web and online journalism skills.
Requirements:
• 1 year in with HTML, experience with Dreamweaver preferred
• 1 year experience with Photoshop
• Familiarity and interest in the internet, social networking and blogs
• Familiarity with Mac computers
• Most importantly, someone who shares the same values as Ode
Helpful, but not necessary:
• Blogging/writing experience a plus
• Multimedia experience such as video, flash, slideshows, etc

Public Relations Intern
Ode is seeking a Public Relations Intern for three months, but perhaps longer, to come into our San Francisco office for a minimum of four hours a week.
The PR Intern will assist the Community Manager and Community Editor with various initiatives relating to OdeWire and OdeNow. The intern should be a creative, self-starter with the ability to build on ideas and work independently while taking direction and input from team members. Experience in the workplace is not required, but students with concentrations in Public Relations, Marketing or Communication are preferred. Ideal candidates possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a professional demeanor in person and on the phone, as well as a desire to learn about strategic communications. Interns will be expected to engage in media research, identify and target media opportunities and trends, develop creative media pitches, follow up with media outlets and prepare media kits. This is an unpaid internship.
