World Laughter Day: Make fun, not war

World Laughter Day, held annually on the first Sunday of May, is designed to instigate premeditated hilarity around the globe. According to the World Laughter Day website, the goal of the event—started in 1998 in Mumbai, India—is to “change the world in a peaceful and positive way.” So mark your calendar for May 2, 2010, bring your best jokes and get ready to start changing the world—one laugh at a time.
