Reread my title please.
We know this. We all know this. It’s not new information. That’s why I was glad to see Marianne Williamson quoted in the April 2012 Science of Mind Magazine Daily Guides.
“When in the midst of outer chaos, seek the inner peace of God. Your inner peace is the power that will end the outer war.”
The issue is not whether we know it or not.
The real issue is whether we do it.
When you are in the midst of outer chaos, does it even dawn on you to seek inner peace? I’ve been committed to peace—and specifically inner peace—for more than half my lifetime, and I still forget sometimes!
Marianne is right, though.
So how do we remember?
My office is a living reminder of the idea that I can choose peace whenever I want, that I have the power to choose peace. In it, is an altar full of reminders about peace.
Beloved, the choice for inner peace is the one thing that stands between us all and the outer war.
