My friend urban shaman Donna Henes wrote this poem. I love that she dreams of a future of peace, and I amend it just a tad to a now of peace.
I Bless the Future
The future that lies like the embryo of a dream growing in our hearts.
A dream conceived in love,
Carried in trust, nurtured by faith,
And born in compassion.
A dream of a future of peace
A future of plenty
A future of spiritual fulfillment.
A dream raised by our best intentions
And realized by every thought we think,
Every action we take and every word we speak.
